I started in the Jail Division, then was transferred to the Patrol Division in 1980. I stayed in patrol handling criminal investigations, traffic enforcement and accident investigation. Promoted in 1995 to Sergeant in patrol, attended several management schools and other duty related training schools. Promoted to Lieutenant continued in patrol, in 2002 attended Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command. In 2005 transferred to the Civil Division/Court Security Services and continued to work in the Operations Division. During these years I attended Homeland Security's Buffer Zone Protection Training and several Court Security Training Classes through the State Supreme Court and the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association as well as other Law Enforcement Related Classes. I retired in 2011 and continued in the Sheriff's Reserves where I started my career prior to going full time. I have been involved with the Stark County Sheriff's Office for almost 40 years now.
