Originally worked as a research chemist after graduation. Then gradually moved via solid-state chemistry to solid-state physics. Then this new wonder toy called a microcomputer showed up and my boss detailed me to learn how to use it and teach every one else. I spent the rest of my career either designing and implementing software for advanced development projects or acting as project manager on self-same projects. I was involved in the development of DVD and Blu-ray, working at Philips. I am now retired but maintain an interest in software development. I also have some involvement in the Alumni association of Kings College London. Specialties: Software design, software testing, project management.
I started working in this department when it was Philips Advanced Projects Group. Spent several years designing and implementing software used in the development of DVD and Blu-ray technology. Later became a Project Manager for similar sofyware projects. I was working there until I retired
