I have experience securing special uses, rezonings, text amendments, administrative relief, subdivisions, public way and sign permits, as well as other land use approvals for a wide variety of property owners. I represent owners of institutional, commercial, and residential property, as well as developers in securing land use and zoning entitlements from state and local governments. As a problem solver, I work with clients and regulating bodies to come up with creative solutions to the legal problems facing building owners and developers.

• Drove site acquisition process for a large-scale wireless telecommunication construction project; from preliminary research and initial outreach to municipalities, to site selection, and permitting. • Researched state law and municipal zoning ordinances regarding public utilities, wireless telecommunications infrastructure and public rights of way in multiple states. • Worked collaboratively with GIS Specialists, Construction Managers, and A&E Specialists to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and zoning requirements for a high volume of sites.
• Researched legal issues concerning federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations and their enforcement, as well as treaties between the U.S, Government and different Indian Tribes. • Drafted memoranda advising ORC attorneys of the current state of federal law and regulations.

• Assisted with representing and advising the Southeast Environmental Task Force, a grass-roots environmental advocacy group, in federal, state and municipal rulemaking, regulation and enforcement actions against bulk material storage sites. • Researched legal issues concerning environmental regulations, zoning, and home rule in Illinois. • Drafted memoranda and opinion letters advising our client, co-counsel and government officials.
