Division Manager and Senior Vice President of Electronic Payment Services, part of KeyBank’s Enterprise Operations group. His enterprise-wide responsibilities include Virtual Item Processing (check), ACH, Wire Transfer, Account Reconcilement, and WIC Operations for KeyBank. Previously he had national responsibilities for functions within KeyBank’s four Item Processing sites, including Sorter Operations, Encoding, Reconciliation, and Image Capture, and was primarily responsible for defining and implementing KeyBank’s check image strategy. He served on the SVPCo Business Committee of The Clearing House Payments Company for 6 years, leading efforts to enable KeyBank to be the first bank to exchange (clear) check images through the SVPCO network. KeyBank has processed all checks electronically since 2009. He has served on the EPN (ACH) Business Committee of The Clearing House Payments Company as well as the CHIPS (Wire) Business Committee of The Clearing House Payments Company. Since June, 2018, he has been leading the effort to implement Real Time Payments and replace the Wire Transfer System at KeyBank. Mike received his B.S. in Marketing/Management from Siena College, and is a graduate of the BAI Graduate Schools of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. His career at KeyBank began in Loan Operations where he managed the Consumer Loan, Student Loan, Wholesale Loan, and Credit Card Operations areas. He has also held various roles in Project Management, Deposit Operations, and Cash Management Operations, before moving to Electronic Payment Services.
