Principal and lead developer for SonicCat Studios, a web and mobile software development agency based in Kitchener, ON. * Long-term ongoing support of the Moodle Learning Management System for 14 Canadian universities and colleges. * Backend development, deployment and management of the revamped primary website for Douglas College (https://www.douglascollege.ca) using Drupal CMS. * Worked with The BC Centre for Disease Control and Social Signal in Vancouver to develop and deploy the ImmunizeBC vaccination information/campaign site (Drupal). http://www.immunizebc.ca/ * Developed a number of custom Drupal modules for ImmunizeBC, including a web-to-SMS gateway, an interactive map-based public health unit finder, and a vaccination reminder app that exports to Outlook/iCal. * Developed a web-based video/media hosting/playback site in Drupal for ImmunizeBC. The site utilized the Amazon S3 service for video storage, and featured full support for both desktop and mobile platforms - http://immunizebc.ca/i-have-immunity/stories * Built a Drupal-based events calendar for Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC - http://events.tru.ca/ * Developed a number of responsive, standards-compliant mobile-friendly websites for clients. * Design, implementation and long-term maintenance of the Drupal-based "Canadian Child Welfare Research Portal" site (http://www.cwrp.ca). * Mobile app development on both iOS and Android platforms.
Implemented and managed a variety of web-based course and application delivery systems at Thompson Rivers University. * Delivered a Python / Django-based change management tool for TRU IT Services. * Implemented & managed a blogging platform for TRU faculty, staff and students. * Managed Moodle, Blackboard and WebCT Learning Management Systems (LMS) for both face-to-face and BC Open University / TRU OL students. * Provided training for faculty in use of LMS platforms.
* Managed TransGaming web, database and development servers and workstations (Linux and Windows) and networks in both Ottawa and Toronto. * Successfully planned and conducted server and workstation migrations to new offices in both cities. * Provisioned network and telephony infrastructures. * Implemented a series of collaboration tools to connect Toronto and Ottawa development groups. These included wikis, video conferencing systems, internal instant messaging systems, and an inter-office VPN.
* Managed Mitel/E-Smith external web, mail and firewall servers in several remote NOCs. * Provided Linux and Windows support for E-Smith sales & marking groups within Mitel. * Configuration and maintenance of multiple MySQL server clusters (incl. replication). * QA testing of Mitel/E-Smith SME Server platform.
* Ported Linux to a variety of embedded hardware platforms and mobile internet devices. * Designed and implemented a small-footprint X-Windows environment for mobile devices. * Built and managed an automated test lab for QA verification of Espial software products.
