I'm a registered pharmacist from the Toledo, OH area, with wide base of skills and experience, especially in Retail and Long Term Care. I enjoy new experiences, which has led to skills beyond the usual dispensing and patient care skills associated with a Pharmacist. For example, I have experience in personnel management, extensive computer skills including drug data sources such as FDB and Medispan, Microsoft Office, and experience in the development of pharmacy software. I interface effectively with Insurance Billing, Pricing, Compliance, Purchasing, Operations, and Clinical staff and executives in support of the ultimate task of superior service to the consumer.
Operations Pharmacist: 1993-2009. PV1 Supervisor: 2009-2012. Supervised PV1 Pharmacist group for Perrysburg Regional Service Area, scheduling approximately 25 pharmacists, responsible for development, training, and review of pharmacist staff Senior Manager Drug Product: 2012-2020. Complete oversight of digital drug files. Supervised Product Department team. Interfaced with Pricing, Billing, Operations, Compliance, and Purchasing executives.
Quality review of all new products added into the pharmacy dispensing systems with a focus on clinical accuracy, costs and patient safety; advising on corporate compounding policy; design and maintenance of Product Information Master; interaction and support for billing, pricing, clinical, purchasing, compliance and operations executives.
Maintained computer drug files during startup of the pharmacy, which is a joint venture between Omnicare and HCR Manorcare. Also monitored aspects of pricing and participated in procurement of third party insurance contracts.
Started as a sales clerk, progressed to pharmacy intern and ultimately store manager and pharmacy manager. Also did district supervisor training after Rite Aid acquisition.
