This project involved the downstream brown field tie-in of four new gas wells utilising a modulised design on a target price, fast track, EPC contract. Responsibilities included: - Overseeing the design of a custody transfer gas metering module, coalescer module and hot tap tie-in to the national 42" reticulated gas pipeline. - Coordinating sub contracted structural, pipeline and electrical engineering services. - Review and approval of issued for construction drawings and work packs. - Overseeing the procurement and expediting of equipment. - Overseeing the management of change. - Assisting in plant pre-commissioning and being seconded into the client team for commissioning.
Working on site at Boyne Smelters (Australia’s largest aluminium producer, owned by Rio Tinto) as part of the WorleyParsons Improve Alliance. Managing a range of OPEX and CAPEX projects across site in all phases from project initiation to close out. Projects Included: - Managing the installation, commissioning and operation of two cryogenic freezing units enabling efficient cleaning of decommissioned industrial equipment. - Directed the inspection, repair and recertification of 4km of crane rail during full plant operations, achieving zero production downtime. - Engineered and implemented process upgrades that enabled automated casting of larger cathodes, increasing production capacity.
