I am an Intellectual Property attorney at Taft Law specializing in patent litigation. I evaluate patent noninfringement and invalidity positions for our clients while also helping them leverage their existing patents to protect their products and portions of the market. In addition, I prepare patents for a variety of local and national clients. This portion of my practice is focused on agricultural machinery, medical device, and other mechanical technology areas. I have a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Purdue University and professional experience as a field engineer with Baker Hughes Oil and Gas. I've found that these are effective background tools for mechanical and biomedical patent work. Prior to joining Taft, I was an attorney at Barnes and Thornburg in Indianapolis, where I assisted clients in matters involving U.S. patent law, international Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) applications, and foreign patent applications.
