About

Although the job descriptions and histories are presented in the profile, the information does not adequately speak to who I am as an individual. I want to make a difference, improve the working environment for the teams I am associated with, help others to succeed in what they do at work and in their lives. I have tried to describe my approach to life and work in the next two paragraphs. If you look at my work history you will find I am not afraid of hard work. I do what is necessary to ensure my employer obtains value for my being part of the company. I have gone so far as to work two jobs for five years, three days at one job and three days at the second. I think because I felt loyalty to people at both companies and a richer sense of fulfillment as each job required different skill sets and challenged me in different ways. I try to serve my company, co-workers and friends with the same zeal and dedication as I that 20 years I was privileged to serve my country. I owe it to everyone in my life to try and be "more" each day. Other than family, overcoming challenges is where I find much of my satisfaction. I ran across a quote that basically says "If your dreams and ambitions do not scare you then you are not dreaming big enough". I think that applies to a person's personal life and their career. If all you want is a ho-hum life, where is that getting you and your family. That is not working towards something but rather just existing where you are. An idling motor may be running but it is not doing useful work. If you are aware of not being useful to your maximum capability, where is the thrill of the ride in that type of life? Please do not believe that I am some kind of workaholic, but understand that I refuse to just coast along through life. I want to go full throttle because there is only one ride. And I refuse to waste it.
