Michael Bloor, ‘Mike’, with a thirty year international career, has extensive business experience, primarily in the Asia region. He is also a tire professional. Responsible for the business unit P&L and building the footprint of sales and service teams whilst developing key accounts. Mike met the set objectives and exceeded expectations by establishing legal entities, offices and infrastructure in Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Russia. His responsibilities covered all aspects of the company development: business models, organization, strategy and strategic marketing. Working closely with the USA team, Mike was instrumental in creating brand identity and developing the marketing messages. This culminated with an exceptionally well received exhibition at MineExpo Las Vegas 2012. Under Mike’s leadership, an innovative service approach was developed and implemented helping to build sales and bring value to customers. Mike successfully managed diverse teams of sixty six people who together increased the business revenue to more than $150m.

      Initially focused on truck and bus tire products and then moving to the industrial & mining tire division for the last four years Mike was intimately involved in all sales initiatives covering both replacement and OEM business. Mike supported the regional sales director with the business plan, market strategy, product launch and monthly reviews of business performance. As a keen coach and mentor Mike developed sales and technical training programs which became the benchmark for sales teams in the region. As a member of the global leadership team for the Mining Tire Division Mike was instrumental in bringing a service orientation to the offer and developing sales through added value services. Mike successfully controlled the Asia claim and litigation cases at customer level, maintaining brand quality and integrity according to corporate guidelines. The Asia business result increased five times during those four years in the mining tire role.
