Graduate of Tufts University engaging in Clinical Psychology coursework and pursuing minors in Child Study & Human Development and Dance. Academic and research passions center around research that promotes racial health equity and enhances the positive representation of marginalized communities, including those defined by race, gender, sexual orientation, and ability. Through my coursework and extracurricular activities, I aim to contribute to research and initiatives that support these goals and hope to continue this in future endeavors toward higher education.
- Engage in research that aims to enhance the quality of life of neurodiverse individuals. - Transcribe qualitative data from surveys sent to Clinical Psychologists to evaluate the feasibility and inclusivity of existing Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments.
Managing marketing team, including graphic designers, photographers, videographers, content creators, and social media coordinators. Leading entire and subcommittee meetings Overseeing marketing requests and harm reduction campaigns Scheduling campaign timelines Volunteering time and assistance at engaging events for the students of Tufts University.
- Conducting own independent research study about the effectiveness of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as a treatment for individuals with ASD with mentorship from Kirstin Birtwell, Ph.D. - Shadowing providers and observing patient and family care; 3 sessions about 4 hours each. - Attending clinical, research, learning seminars, and presentations about active studies about ASD and research related topics. - Conducting an additional center-wide deliverable project and working in the research office making phone calls to patients' families and possible participants in studies, studying visit preparation, and doing data entry.
- Leading recruited participants in a method acting activity for the social cognition study. - Analyzing and organizing collected data on cognitive representations and stereotypes of African Americans.
