Wafels & Dinges is a fast-growing hospitality company serving Belgian waffles from food trucks and kiosks all around Manhattan. W&D also caters corporate events, movie sets and high-end private parties. On top of that we cooperate with PR agencies for brand activations and partner up with music festivals. I was in the lead of the catering department, managing the exponential growth and further developing the thriving catering business - my key responsibilities / achievements are: Sales & Business Development: • Lead nurturing, expanding more profitable customer base and increasing retention • Preparing quotes based on clients’ needs, presenting value offer and negotiating deals • Providing 24/7 “on call service” - point of contact for urgent inquiries and customer service • Increased yearly sales revenue by 10% with much lower costs by leveraging my organization, time management and enterprising skills • Co-created a new custom-built efficient quoting system • Trained new team representatives by shadowing, reverse shadowing and constant coaching Event planning & Management: • Organizing resources, scheduling staff and briefing teams before events • Managing teams in the field and be point of contact for clients & staff • Mentoring and motivating teams of up to 15 professionals • Created, implemented and supervising new operational processes and procedures
After learning the inner workings of the different divisions of this real estate business, I joined the commercial team and worked in a junior sales position. • Gained sales techniques through in depth and active sales training • Shadowed CEO • Conducted market research for student housing • Prepared investment analyses for new projects
Working as an assistant to the senior marketing manager, I was involved in organizing various brand activations and new concept launches to boost on-trade volumes. • Supervise the launch of "Coke & Roll" - a trade marketing concept (see press release below): targeting the right partners + set them up for success + support them through feedback and coaching • Day to day communication with external marketing agencies • Coordination of POSM supply
