“Platinum Member” of the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM, since June 2026), Emeritus Member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (since 2024)-ESMO & Emeritus Member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (since 2025)- ASCO A life dedicated to the fight against cancer, both in the laboratories and in the clinical wards (Medical Oncology, Radiotherapy and Hematology). Member of the Royal College of Physicians since 1986, started his oncological training at the Royal Marsden Hospital (London and Sutton) and at the Christie Hospital in Manchester. Pioneer in the clinical development of recombinant growth factors (G-CSF), with very productive and successfull collaborations with Industry (AMGEN Inc 1987-2002; ROCHE Pharma and Diagnostics 1989-2000; Spanish Laboratories like Esteve and ALMIRALL; or ASTRA-ZENECA) as well as with international cancer teaching and research institutions (European School of Oncology, Milan; EORTC, Brussels) and medical journals (The Lancet, British J of Cancer; Annals of Oncology - founding member of the editorial board, among others). In-depth experience also of administrative bodies like the Spanish and Catalan Departments of Health, the EMEA (first five years), and several NGOs. Besides working in Barcelona for the Catalan Dpt of Health within the public system- Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, Hospital Duran i Reynals (ICO), hospital de Granollers (FHAG) & Hospital de Mollet- Dr Miguel H. Bronchud joined the prestigious private clinic of DEXEUS, in Barcelona . And he (seven years later) joined the also private sector Clinica Corachan and an international cancer project in Spain: GénesisCare Corachan, Barcelona- where he spent his last five years of active medical oncology clinical practice (out of forty years of medical practice and over two decades of research). He currently collaborates as peer reviewer for several scientific journals; and in advisory role for “Regenerative Medicine Solutions”.
