Co-founder of Engineering Services company focused on partnering with product teams at all stages of product development. Our team is located in Pacific Northwest with broad experience in product delivery from early concept through high volume execution. Concurrent specializes in prioritizing design and process optimization opportunities, then partnering with your team to augment resources in critical areas. Key deliverables range from early product technology and risk assessment, consolidation of Functional requirements, Product design, Design Verification, all the way through to manufacturing readiness and execution.
• Directed the definition of the product vision and long-term technical roadmap for personal autonomous vehicles (SAE Levels 3 - 4), translating user needs into detailed Product Requirements organized by Features. • Prioritized feature development using customer data and user research, ensuring market fit and feasibility across HW and SW teams at all stages of development. • Collaborated with stakeholders from Engineering, Design, R&D, AI Software, Operations, Finance, and Legal departments at both Cruise and GM to reach consensus on product direction and timelines. • Developed data collection plan for model training using prototype hardware, collaborating with hardware and AI software engineering leaders to accelerate algorithm development.
Responsible for strategic planning to support the introduction of new technology across silicon, sensors, display, and software algorithm development for AR Glasses. • Developed customer use cases, translated them to product requirements, and decomposed them into functional specifications, facilitating product tradeoffs among more than 20 cross-functional teams with over 1000 employees for AR Glasses. • Proactively identified challenges and mitigations, communicating them to executive leadership (up to CEO) to assist in prioritizing and allocating the funding necessary to achieve HW and SW program goals. • Created and deployed new processes to enhance communication within a matrix org structure, including Change Control, flexible build Config Management, Requirements Traceability, and Bug tracking. • Orion's successful Fall 2024 demo used hardware coordinated by me before I left.
• Built a team of 35 FTEs and over 80 contractors, forming a new team within Facebook to carry out internal prototype builds and provide calibration and design verification for complex opto-mechanical products. • Established new roles including DfX/process support, precision automation design, build management, manufacturing test, optical test and calibration, electrical and mechanical design verification. • Applied Opto-Mechanical product design experience to define product specs, plan build cycles, build prototyping and test capability, create test plans, and model a new product development process.
