Senior Software Engineer at Buffer, working on internal platforms for Customer Advocacy. I started at Buffer in 2016 as a Customer Advocate and transitioned into engineering in 2019. That path shapes how I work today: I build tools with empathy for the people using them, favour pragmatic solutions, and focus on shipping real value over theoretical perfection. I enjoy owning systems end to end, working closely with stakeholders, and operating in small, high-trust teams with a lot of autonomy. Outside of Buffer, I am a local leader for Grow Remote in Wexford Town, helping remote workers connect, share experiences, and build community beyond their screens.
Senior engineer on the Advocacy Operations team, responsible for the design, development, and evolution of internal tools used by Buffer’s Customer Advocacy team. I lead initiatives from early technical discovery through to production delivery and iteration, often operating with high autonomy and close collaboration with stakeholders. My work spans internal platforms, building AI tools, and custom integrations across Help Scout, Retool, and internal APIs. Key areas of ownership and impact include: - Building and maintaining internal platforms used daily by support teams - Designing AI-assisted tools that improve response quality, speed, and decision-making - Integrating third-party tools with Buffer’s internal systems in a compliant, scalable way - Making pragmatic trade-offs to ship value early and iterate based on real usage My background in customer advocacy informs many of the technical decisions I make and helps ensure the tools we build solve real problems for the people using them.
