      As the IT Proximity Team Leader, I report directly to the IT Support Manager and together we represent the Group Technology department within our perimeter. My main responsibility is to ensure effective support across the Field Services and Support (FSS) team, specifically for cases assigned to the Business service under my scope of responsibility that require either remote or physical presence to be resolved. My role involves managing a team under my geographical perimeter, including recruiting, coaching, setting objectives, and appraising team members.       As the IT Administrator, I am responsible for the administration of the Microsoft environment, which includes server network design, change management, security, patching, and auditing requirements, as well as the selection, procurement, installation, maintenance, support, and monitoring of hardware/software. My key accountability involves implementing Group standards, capacity planning, and performance monitoring, as well as supervising and monitoring the data backup processes to guarantee data integrity. I am also responsible for implementing, supervising, and monitoring the Group IT security concepts.     From 1992 to December 1999, I worked for Inter Services IJmond BV in various roles on the North Sea (offshore) and in the North and West area of the Netherlands (onshore). I started my career as a painter on an offshore rig, but I quickly progressed to a Roustabout position where I managed all deck activities, such as offloading crane loads and providing support to the drilling floor. Later, I became a Roughneck, working in the actual drilling team on the drilling floor and also as a Derrickman, loading and unloading pipes on drill string works. In my last year, I earned my "Well Control Examination for Drillers" certification, which enabled me to work as an Assistant Driller during holidays and other times when needed. My experience was gained working with companies such as Sedco Forex, NAM, and Deutag. At the end of '99 I dediced to leave the industry and persue a career in IT.
