From June 1st 2023 I am President of the Board of the European Innovation Council, appointed by the European Commission. I am dedicated to technological progress and innovation in its transformative power for a better society and for new generations. I am dedicated to scaling up, but also to diligently remove barriers to breakthrough and wide adoption. Please inspire me with your posts or comments. I will listen and respond as much as possible. Invitations for conferences and field visits are always seriously considered (send preferably at least 3 months in advance), but please acknowledge that I have to look at geographical balance, impact and relevance.
I provided coaching in public affairs to the start ups. That covers subsidies, funding, public procurement and advocacy on regulations. I am normally to be found at StartUp the 3d Monday of the month for individual coaching and regularly with clinics.
This is a part time function (6 hours a week). I chair for the period 2018-2023 the National Commission on quality investment in professional Education. The Commission advises on behalf of the Ministry of Education a fund of 1,4 Billion Euro. The 66 schools (regional colleges) in professional Education submit plans to our Commission that we evaluate, monitor in their implementation and control after four years.
