I’m a writer, theologian, spiritual director, and creative who helps people encounter the presence of God through beauty, story, and the ordinary moments of life. I recently completed a Doctor of Ministry focused on how God uses beauty to speak to and shape us—a passion that flows into my work with the KC Underground, where I lead the Beauty Initiative. I’m also a speaker, documentary creator, and photographer, finding deep joy in illuminating the sacred in unexpected places. For over three decades, I’ve served in ministry alongside my husband, Rob, both in large churches and now in decentralized networks committed to justice, beauty, and good news. Whether I’m guiding a microchurch, drawing in my studio, or walking the ancient roads of Asia Minor, my calling remains the same: to help others see that God is already speaking—often through beauty, often in places we least expect.
