I value people over process, concrete solutions over abstract theorizing, doing over talking. The qualities that I have and cherish in others are: (1) being an owner: I embrace extreme ownership; my team's mistake is mine and their success is theirs. (2) being open minded: my open and growth mindset has helped me succeed in diverse industries. Those experiences are the source of my creativity and practical wisdom. (As Steve Jobs said, “Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things.”) (3) being radically candid: I care about the people I work with and find being candid (with both positive and constructive feedback) is the most effective and the most joyful way to work with them. I'm good at building high trust work environment, making resolute decision, and communicating clearly and effectively. At the same time, I still love hands-on work. I have the most fun when I talk to customers to understand their problem and desire, when I jam with colleagues to create delightful experiences, and when I do first principles thinking. My most unique differentiator is global IQ and EQ. I have worked in the US, Spain, Germany, France, China, and Southeast Asia. A few more credentials as a competent leader and practitioner - Excel at both garage stage and at hyper-growth stage leading 100-people team: I give my team clear direction, coach them, and empower them. - Entrepreneur / founder: I focus on "how to make things work" not "why things won't work". - Learner and practitioner in behavioral economics: the No. 1 value people seek is emotional value. It's this understanding that has helped me develop great product and business intuition, as well as build great teams. - Stanford MBA with Computer Science degree. Lastly, my superpower is getting things done.
Most of us are wiser than our actions show. The reason is simple: it's easy to know what's better for us, but hard to do it. In today's world, where the pressure to constantly improve is overwhelming, maybe a gentler and lighter approach to living is better. That's where WiserMe comes in. It bridges the gap between our inner wisdom and our actions, offering a supportive path to a gentler and lighter way of being, all on our own terms.

Typeform turns average forms & surveys into a powerful brand communication tool for businesses. I led a 25-people organization of product managers, product designers, user researchers, and creative designers (for marketing and customer engagement). Transformed the company from design centric to customer centric by building empowered product teams, hiring experienced product managers globally, and providing clarity on product direction to the company For a few months, I was the hands-on product manager for respondent experience, the crown jewel of our product. Being in the trenches enabled me to rediscover for the company the essence of Typeform, to set the right product strategy, and to lead the company with conviction.
ofo was the world’s first and largest bike-sharing company. It operated in China, the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia. It was also the biggest IoT platform with millions of devices on the road. I led a 100-people organization including software and hardware product managers, product designers, product researchers, data engineers, and data analysts plus a cross-functional team focusing on smart parking. For the first 6 months, I also managed the data team and hired an excellent leader to take it over. I advised and assisted the CEO with organization design, recruiting, public relations, government relations, and fundraising. I also served as company spokesperson with the English-speaking media.
As the leader of the Product Management team, I played a pivotal role in scaling the cross-functional product development organization from 25 to 125+ team members in less than a year. I worked with the CEO on marketplace strategies and incentives, and capital and resource allocation. I also built critical product integrations with major Chinese companies that was necessary for Uber China’s survival and growth. During my tenure, Uber China's valuation grew from $0.5B to $7B, and market share grew from 1% to 20%+. Since July 2016, I focused on the toughest piece – China Rider Program. I was the first guest lecturer on China at Stanford Business School's "Strategy Beyond Markets" class, taught by Professor Katherine Casey. I shared with eager students the challenges and opportunities to operate in China and what it takes to win in China.
