Michelle leads J.P. Morgan's Institutional Wealth Management (23 Wall) efforts for North Asia, with the mandate to deliver the J.P. Morgan franchise across its ecosystem to the Firm's largest and most sophisticated clients, including entrepreneurs, family offices and financial sponsors in the private bank, leveraging her unique set of experiences across global investment banking, equity research and technology. Prior to this role, Michelle was the Co-Head of APAC TMT and Head of China TMT Investment Banking, covering innovation economy sectors including internet/digital media, eCommerce, consumer/healthcare tech, software, semiconductor/systems, and tech services verticals. Michelle joined J.P. Morgan in 2009, after spending five years at Morgan Stanley in Global Equity Research and Technology Investment Banking across New York, San Francisco, Menlo Park and Hong Kong. At Morgan Stanley Technology Equity Research, Michelle worked in the globally No. 1 ranked (by Institutional Investors Magazine) Semiconductor equity research team and focused on sector and company-specific research for the global hardware technology ecosystem. Michelle started her career in engineering, product management and marketing at Applied Materials, the world’s No. 1 semiconductor capital equipment supplier in the Silicon Valley. Michelle obtained her MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, her Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, and her Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan Technological University. Michelle is fluent in English, Mandarin(native) , and Cantonese. Michelle is deeply passionate about technology, mentorship, women leadership/entrepreneurship in finance and technology.
