Founded MKA to provide strategic consulting and media skills training to higher education institutions and others in the online education and digital media environment. Cost-effective services are customized to institutional needs and support creation of high quality, online and blended courses and customization of licensed courses, such as MOOCs. Responsible for strategic development work in education across all media for the Boston-based public television station and leading producing station for the public broadcasting system. Conceived, developed and grew a nationwide educational media service for schools. Developed new national and international projects, partnerships and strategic public media agenda in education.
Established and grew WGBH educational programming to a $36 million national production entity responsible for programming and station activities in education at the K-12 and college levels, and in adult continuing and professional education. Partnered with leading educators, educational institutions, organizations and companies nationwide. Focus: harnessing television and new media for the development of high quality curriculum-based resources for distance education at the college level and beyond, teaching tools for the K-12 classroom, resources for teacher training and professional development, and strategic direction in education for the public broadcasting system.
