In the 14 years I spent at Workday, I came to realize that I could bring greater value to customers by working across the entire systems landscape, of which Workday is a critical part. I've decided to start a new chapter addressing the broader set of challenges that customers face with their systems and processes.
- Engage with the customer C-suite to promote business transformation. - Ensure customer success by working directly with global Professional Services VPs to resolve issues related to product gaps or implementation quality. - Lead evaluations of complex sales opportunities to identify product gaps and services solutions. - Identify industry-and country-specific product gaps, and work with Product Management to evaluate the business case for filling each gap, to ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
- Introduced a product management approach to the building of preconfiguration packages that were instrumental in opening new markets for Workday products. Using this strategy, my team was able to both reduce the cost and improve the quality of Workday implementations. - Led an organization of over 120 employees responsible for: Implementation Strategy, Field Readiness, Implementation Tools & Content, Customer Adoption, and New Product Launch. - Completed an 18-month assignment in London to support the expansion of Workday Financials sales and implementations in EMEA. - Served on the Workday Commercialization Council, which evaluated and decided on corporate strategy and pricing.
- Led a team of product managers for Core Financials, Assets, Cash, and Budgets - Engaged in strategic product discussions with customers and prospects - Maintained the product roadmaps for Core and Global Financials - Participated in corporate and industry events such as Workday Rising and Workday Elevate to promote our products - Met with industry analysts to discuss Workday's roadmap strategy and competitive landscape - Led product area advisory councils with key customers
- Reporting directly to the Corporate Divisional CIO, I led a team whose mission was to partner with Finance, HR & Payroll Departments to improve business processes through configuration, purchases or development of business softwares. - Supported stakeholders by implementing an enhancement prioritization process and building their "Greenlight decks" to obtain funding for projects. - Acted as project manager for major initiatives: * Global HCM implementation of Workday * SAP Financials ECC upgrade from 4.7 to 6.0 * Playbook to onboard acquired companies and international subsidiaries on SAP with a target of reducing time to value by 50% - Was responsible for software supplier and consulting provider relationships.
