I lead IsraAID’s global emergency operations at the organizational level, overseeing the EMOP Unit and ensuring our responses are rapid, coordinated, and impactful. I guide the design and implementation of emergency programming across multiple contexts, manage complex operational decisions, and work closely with senior leadership to align emergency efforts with broader organizational priorities. I represent IsraAID in high-level partnerships and forums and help shape how the organization prepares for and responds to humanitarian crises. I established IsraAID’s Emergency Programming and Operations (EMOP) Unit—our dedicated A-Team and the first boots on the ground in humanitarian emergencies. I built this unit from scratch, developing operational systems, protocols, and team capacity to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure environments. During responses, we built strong relationships with affected communities and partners to ensure our support met immediate needs and laid the groundwork for long-term resilience. Our team led responses to the 2021 earthquake in Haiti, supported the evacuation of Afghan communities to Albania (2021), and launched IsraAID’s Ukraine crisis response in Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine (2022–2023), among others. Key Achievements: • Built and led IsraAID’s global emergency response model • Directed complex, multi-country field operations • Developed agile operational systems and coordination mechanisms • Strengthened partnerships and community trust under crisis conditions
• Spearhead IsraAID emergency response to floods in Kerala India (2018), wildfires in the United States (2018), cyclone Idai in Zimbabwe and Mozambique (2019), Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas (2019), as well as Global COVID-19 response. • Set up missions, developing strategy for the response, conducting needs assessments, recruiting staff, developing programs and proposals, and liaising with donors and partners • Provide consultations to the national and regional government on disaster preparedness, mitigation and response • Institutionalize the knowledge, processes, and practice of the organization’s emergency response, develop and deliver trainings on humanitarian standards and best practices during emergency
• Cultivating public-private sector networks, partnerships and joint ventures to promote solutions for urban renewal and social housing in Israel • Supporting ground-up community's initiatives and developing income-generating services in urban communities' renewal projects
• Lead the annual plan design for TBT in Nepal, and trained TBT professional staff on complete MEAL cycle and planning, including usage of participatory methods in community-based interventions. • Designed an online platform for data collection creating an efficient reporting mechanism for the country program
Provided legal support on a special mediation case, including analysis of contracts, technical documentation supporting the case and writing the decisions upon merits
