Through innovative initiatives and strategic partnerships, the HBCU Collaborative aims to empower HBCU journalism programs and student newsrooms and ensure that they have the platforms, tools, and support needed to excel in online journalism.
I am founder of Get Current Studio. My experience in print & web design spans two decades. Two transformational opportunities — the John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships at Stanford and the Google Teaching Fellowship— led me to founding Get Current Studio. Our mission gives special attention to publishers of color who seek to embrace emerging technologies. We provide our clients with a suite of services including web development, content strategy, audience engagement and newsroom up-skilling.
CCJ’s National Journalism Advisory Board is made up of leading journalists, editors, publishers and educators from across the country. They advise CCJ to ensure that we’re helping students develop the skills and networks needed to produce quality work and succeed in the ever-evolving media landscape.
