Michael Razavi provides IP consultation to inventors and businesses to develop and assess their intellectual property to get them to the next level. Mr. Razavi has special expertise in working with technology companies taking medical solutions to market. Major partners include Sirnaomics, AVANTI Technologies, and Protein Biosolutions. He also served as VP for business development for both Nebula Group, where he provided consultation services in IT solution, cloud implementation, and AI applications. Mr. Razavi served the USPTO for over 30 years, where he was on the leading edge of innovation, working creatively to improve the functioning of the Office as a catalyst for economic and intellectual growth in industry and academia. For over 20 years, he served as an Office spokesperson, presenting technical and nontechnical information on IP and other topics to small groups as well as national conferences. Most recently, Mr. Razavi served as Senior Executive Advisor to the Office of Undersecretary and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Previously, as IP Outreach Educator and Senior Advisor to the Office of Innovation Development, he implemented programs under the direction of the America Invents Act such as the Pro Se Assistance Program. Mr. Razavi led initiatives with foreign patent offices and embassies, as well as U.S. businesses, universities, and federal government agencies, including the Office of Personnel Management, Census Bureau, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of the Treasury, and Department of Commerce. Mr. Razavi also serves as the President of the Supervisory Patent Examiner-Classifiers Organization, representing 600-plus managers at the USPTO. Mr. Razavi also worked with the Offices of the Under Secretary, the Commissioner of Patents, and the Office of Policy and International Affairs. Internationally, he worked with the directorate of the European Patent Office to compare IP issues in the two regions; represented USPTO on an initiative to improve patent policy in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries; and reviewed policies and laws that affect South and Central American countries for the Office of Policy and External Affairs.
