Lead teams to deliver highly complex and technical digital health projects from planning to deployment, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, healthcare industry partners and vendors. Managed numerous projects throughout the life cycle, including the Primary Care Data Sharing project, an initiative to collect patient data from family physicians and make it accessible to select health care organizations, and a federated identity single-sign-on (SSO) access management solution in Ontario hospitals, allowing clinicians to use existing identity credentials to access numerous applications, without logging in each time.
Coordinated the implementation of four major product releases associated with the Connecting Ontario clinical viewer, from development to deployment and the production environment, designed to facilitate digital access to patient records. Collaborating with Telus Health and internal stakeholders, organized implementation walkthroughs, executed testing, developed risk mitigation strategies, and led the development and approval of project artifacts, including project charter, integrated plan, architectural design, privacy impact and security threshold assessments, quality assurance and test strategy.
Developed the Ontario consumer eHealth program strategy to enable patient access to online services and their health records after leading consultations with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, hospitals, clinicians and consultants to understand organizational capacity and build consensus. Led a pilot project which allowed patient access to their lab results, which encompassed identifying business requirements through joint application design (JAD) sessions, and developing identity and registration solutions for patients and caregivers. Established program and project governance, assessed architecture and developed an integrated project plan, project charter and business requirements document.
Performed extensive research and analysis focused on provincial-municipal equalization grant programs across Canada. Developed reporting which highlighted best practices and recommendations for an improved Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund (OMPF) and presented to Assistant Deputy Minister. Determined allocation to 400 municipalities and coordinated quarterly OMPF payments of close to one billion dollars.
Collaborated with numerous internal departments in the design and development of business cases geared to leveraging technology, processes and systems to promote efficiencies. Led the auditing of over 70 consulting projects to ensure policy compliance and presented findings and recommendations to executive management team.
