Design and development of new products and components, as well as the re-design of existing products and components. Evaluate designs against the ASME Code technical requirements. Review of Customer specifications against the technical capabilities of Conval products. Responsible for creating, qualifying, and managing welding/welding processes to Section IX of the ASME Code.
Provide the primary design and drafting function in the design and development of new products, assemblies, and components, as well as improvements to existing products or components.
Responsible for creating and editing 2D and 3D models. Prepare conceptual models and/or design layouts. Complete design definitions, production drawings and revisions. Identify and implement design process improvements. Work with manufacturing, sourcing and suppliers to meet product cost targets. Work with line item owner to ensure projects are completed to customer specifications and meet the target deadline.
