I'm a board-certified, fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist focused on minimally invasive, image-guided therapy - treatments that aim for less risk, faster recovery, and a better quality of life than open surgery can offer. My clinical work centres on embolization, interventional oncology including ablation, and venous interventions, with a particular interest in how innovation and standardisation make these procedures safer, faster, and more reproducible. I completed my habilitation at the University of Heidelberg (Faculty of Medicine Mannheim) and continue to teach and research alongside my clinical practice at a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Zurich. I hold the EBIR-ES, EDiR, and FCIRSE certifications. Much of what interests me sits where the clinic meets the technology: how devices are designed, and how they make it from development into routine practice. I collaborate with medtech companies on how their tools are designed and adopted.
