Passionate and dedicated City Councilor for the Town of West Springfield, responsible for shaping policies, overseeing budgets, and ensuring the well-being of our community. Currently serving as Chair of the Ordinance and Policy Subcommittee and Vice Chair of the Traffic and Safety Subcommittee. Also represented the City Council on the Retail Marijuana Advisory Board, where I reviewed applications and interviewed prospective candidates before making a recommendation of two retail marijuana operators to the mayor. Represented the City Council on the Enrollment Advisory Committee to create a master plan for the future of the school district.
Chief of Staff to State Representative Michael Finn, House Chair of the Joint Committee on Bonding Capital Expenditures and State Assets. I supervise a team of professionals while managing the daily operations of the office. I effectively lead internal team meetings and ensure seamless coordination among staff members. With a keen focus on policy, I conduct thorough research on legislation before the Committee, analyzing fiscal impacts and providing valuable counsel to the House Chair on legislative action. I manage the Chair's legislative and budget priorities, helping successfully secure monies for important projects and initiatives, and prepare policy briefings, testimony, and speeches as required. I plan and coordinate a range of activities for the Committee, including bill hearings, oversight hearings, and informational sessions. Serving as a liaison between the House Chair, Committee members and staff, executive branch personnel, the Treasurer's office, advocacy organizations, and lobbyists, I foster strong relationships and facilitate effective communication channels.
