Software Engineer on the Infrastructure Team for Twitter's mobile development platform, Fabric. Led the design and engineering of Fabric's centralized logging system, which processes 4.5 million logs per minute, using Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana. Wrote a custom log search UI and query builder using React.js. Improved Fabric's monitoring capabilities and reduced the signal to noise ratio for alerts by aggregating related alerts together and enriching alerts with relevant environmental context. Built a web dashboard on top of Riemann using React.js and Go. Led Fabric through the transition from a single on-call rotation to a model with multiple on call rotations specific to each product area. Coached teams on best practices for managing their on call rotation. Enabled development teams to manage their production environment independently by automating code deployment and AWS infrastructure provisioning using a "ChatOps" model. Technologies used included Chef (config management), Hubot (javascript based chatbot) and Ruby (backend API layer).
