As an attorney, educator, & leadership development professional, I believe law and learning ultimately serve the same purpose: to help people and organizations think more strategically, lead more effectively, and achieve more meaningful results. My background spans law, leadership, & higher education, combining legal expertise with human development and designing solutions that drive innovation, strengthen collaboration, improve operational effectiveness, and elevate performance across global teams. I’ve been privileged to serve as Director and Lead Brand Counsel at a global pharmaceutical company, Lead Regulatory Counsel for a Fortune 500 technology giant, as well as to represent the largest global financial institutions in complex business matters during my time in private practice at Lowenstein Sandler and CSG. At Seton Hall University, I further developed my passion for mentorship, leadership, and education by teaching courses in business law and leadership development. It was here that I discovered and refined my most valuable professional skills, and was able to witness firsthand the impact I could have on others — reflected in the many distinctions that followed, including being awarded Seton Hall’s “Professor of the Year” and “Most Valuable Professor,” New Jersey’s “Mentor of the Year,” and LinkedIn’s “Top Voice in Leadership Development.” With additional experience drafting, grading and tutoring for the New Jersey Bar Exam; designing customized leadership and professional development workshops throughout the US and Europe; serving as advisor to “The Harvard Business Review;” and authoring an innovative children’s leadership book, “The Six Simple Secrets to Being a Successful Kid,” I’m passionate about always growing personally and professionally and maximizing the value I provide. I’m particularly interested in creating innovative, practical, and people-centered solutions that challenge conventional thinking and move organizations forward. Combining my ability to analyze complex legal and business challenges with my experience developing talent, improving processes, and leading transformational initiatives has created a unique ability to produce measurable change. As a Bar Exam Tutor with AmeriBar, the nation's leading provider of bar exam preparation services, I provide personalized one-on-one and group tutoring to both first-time examinees and returning bar applicants across all 50 states, designed to strengthen analytical writing skills, master complex legal concepts, and develop effective strategies for bar exam success. In my role, I work closely with each applicant to develop a personalized, comprehensive preparation plan that is tailored to the individual’s learning style and includes instruction on substantive legal topics, exam strategies, time management techniques, performance optimization and essay writing best practices. Combining my background as an attorney and former state bar examiner with my teaching and leadership development experience, I focus not only on academic preparation, but also on mentorship, motivation, and helping students navigate the often overlooked mental and emotional demands of the bar exam process. As such, myself and my fellow AmeriBar tutors take a holistic educational approach, providing: • Personalized bar exam preparation and coaching; • Legal writing and essay development training; • MBE strategy and issue-spotting techniques; • Time management and test-taking strategies; • Student mentorship, accountability, and performance support; and • Practical guidance to help simplify the most complex legal concepts into easily understandable and digestible information. I collaborate closely with my students to create an engaging, supportive, and results-driven learning experience designed to maximize their success on the bar exam - helping them both believe and achieve what they are truly capable of.
Michael serves as Director & Legal Counsel to Teva Pharmaceuticals, one of the world's largest multinational pharmaceutical companies. With a portfolio of more than 3,600 medicines and a commercial footprint in 27 international markets, Teva is able to provide a high-quality portfolio of specialty medicines, generics, biopharmaceuticals, and over-the-counter products to over 60 countries, serving approximately 200 million people every day. Through its Innovative Medicines & Biosimilars Division, Teva specializes in the development of proprietary pharmaceuticals & specialty treatments for disorders of the central nervous system (including neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, migraine, and movement disorders), and maintains a strong portfolio of treatments in the oncology and respiratory areas. To facilitate Teva’s goal of expanding its branded pipeline, Michael provides legal, regulatory, & compliance support to the innovative medicines division, specifically counseling Teva's portfolio of innovative treatments for schizophrenia, migraine, TD, and MS - which represent Teva's flagship and most-profitable portfolio of branded medicines. Michael ensures all relevant regulatory requirements are followed throughout the lifecycle of each product - from development, to promotion & marketing, and finally to sale. As such, Michael’s typical responsibilities include: (i) Managing the Promotional & Advertising Review Committee (PARC) and providing appropriate legal review of all marketing materials, external sales content, or internal sales trainings; (ii) Evaluating legislation that could affect Teva’s development or go-to-market strategies; (iii) Analyzing & approving any third-party relationship requests, including sponsorships, memberships, and patient/HCP engagements in compliance with the Anti-Kickback Statute; and (iv) handling any requests, audits, or inquiries received from the FDA, FTC, or other regulatory bodies.
Michael serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business and Legal Studies within Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business - teaching courses that explain the significant integration of both business and legal concepts in the corporate world to undergraduate and graduate students alike. In April 2020, Michael was honored to be awarded the distinction of Teacher of the Year by Seton Hall University and the Office of the Provost for his work and pursuit of knowledge within the Stillman School of Business. Moreover, in collaboration with Seton Hall's top-ranked Buccino Leadership Institute, Michael was afforded the opportunity to design a unique, certificate-bearing Leadership and Professional Development program that was a huge success - and that propelled Michael toward even more opportunities to discuss his experience in the area - including invitations to present at Universities both here in America and abroad in Europe, as well as opportunities to present on these topics to multiple companies of various shapes and sizes. Building on Michael's vision, the University has since developed a series of leadership development certificate programs in various disciplines, and has went on to provide world-class leadership and professional development skills to participants from all industries - including law enforcement officers, educators, business executives, non-profit leaders, HR managers, and much more.

Michael was appointed by the New Jersey State Board of Bar Examiners to serve as a state bar examiner, and was tasked with creating and grading the written portions of the summer and winter bar examinations, which govern the admission to practice law in the State of New Jersey. As an examiner, Michael is responsible for drafting and calibrating model questions and answers for the Multistate Performance Test and for the Multistate Essay Examination across the areas of Contract Law, Civil Procedure, Evidence, and Family law in an effort to facilitate uniform grading amongst examiners.
