I am a First-Year MBA student at University of Rochester Simon Business School and a first-generation college graduate. My pre-MBA work experience includes professional musical theatre performance, ranging from international work as a lead vocalist on a luxury cruise ship to lead roles in productions across the United States. I also have experience in healthcare as an EMT and working in strategy and operations with my family's car wash business. I am pursuing an MBA to acquire the necessary skills to make a career pivot. Simon Business School has an “unabashedly analytical bias”, giving me the opportunity to hone my analytical skills to complement the strengths I have developed from my non-traditional background. As an actor, I developed a high EQ and strong collaboration skills; working on the cruise ship, I strengthened my ability to lead alongside international colleagues; as an EMT, I learned to perform effectively under pressure; and through the family business, I gained hands-on experience in operations and strategic growth. Building on this foundation, I am excited to take the next step as a Summer Associate with J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York City this summer. -Supervised and coached a team of five vocalists as Vocal Captain, leading rehearsals, warm-ups, and coordinating with the sound team and musicians to maintain performance quality. -Delivered lead vocal performances in five large-scale and two small-scale production shows, collaborating with a cast of 11 performers. -Produced, directed, and headlined a 45-minute solo show, curating music selections and stage direction to maximize guest engagement. -Represented the entertainment team as an ambassador, providing guest hospitality, onboarding welcomes, and safety briefings. -Initiated and executed a surprise anniversary performance in the Regent Suite, coordinating with the cruise director, musicians, and service staff to deliver a personalized guest experience under tight timelines.
-Assessed patient condition, supplied basic life support, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, administering oxygen, controlling bleeding, application of splints, obtaining vital signs, and caring for psychiatric crises. -Responded efficiently to instructions from medical dispatchers, driving emergency vehicle to 10-12 locations per shift. -Teamed with paramedic partner by coordinating with other emergency services and communicating with patients and families.
