Part of rigorous 3 year engineering development program including two years of GE courses about all aspects of jet engine design, culminating in a masters degree at MIT. Work rotations include: - Design Engineer and hardware owner on the T901 next-gen turboshaft engine - Engineer on GE's Digital team, implementing tools to better integrate various data sources - Design engineering role with the lube systems team on turboshaft and turboprop engines
Led design initiatives for external fluid systems across GE Aviation's small engine portfolio
- Achieved annual savings of more than $900,000 by coordinating testing and validating a new drilling process for the Boeing 747-8 thrust reverser - Developed new manufacturing process plans for thrust reverser components across 5 different production lines - Achieved 8-hour cycle reduction on thrust reverser manufacturing by applying Six Sigma techniques to revise manufacturing tolerances
- Analyzed the flight performance of the experimental MOSUPS aircraft - Developed MATLAB code to validate theoretical flight envelope and operating limitations of MOSUPS aircraft - Modeled airflow into combustor section of rotating detonation engine for proof of concept
