The primary functions of the Sr Reliability Engineering Subject Matter Expert are: - Delivery and Execution of Reliability Solutions - Leading Focus Teams - Facilitation and Teaching
Provides technical expertise and leadership to implement asset reliability improvements across the business unit. Leads a team with representatives from all sites working to implement Mosaic’s Reliability Process and standardize practices; train, mentor and coach personnel across the entire organization on reliability concepts; collaborate with Reliability Leads, Superintendents and Managers to ensure consistent application of the reliability process across the business unit; and partner with Director of Reliability and Facility Maintenance Managers to monitor reliability process implementations, address any issues hindering improvements, focus on sustaining gains and delivering value to business financials. The position includes People Leader responsibility.
• Works closely with business leadership, local champions and other master black belts to facilitate the integration of six sigma in all we do (opportunity identification, project prioritization, project execution and leveraging). • Recommends most effective lean-six sigma methodologies and tools. • Coaches and monitors progress of black belt and green belt project leaders to deliver project success. • Identifies the most effective approach in applying six sigma to accelerate the implementation of the business strategy. • Consults on project implementation and managing change. • Facilitates project reviews. • Leverages best practices and key learnings. • Teaches, coaches and certifies black belt and green belt project leaders. • Leads global reliability improvement and innovation projects. • Served as the technical topics coordinator for the global master black belt network.
• Provided leadership to the business units supporting existing plant reliability performance and new projects. • Participated in the development and implementation of a comprehensive reliability strategy that meets global business objectives. • Led continued implementation of reliability improvements which included development of facility and equipment maintenance strategies, solving reliability and availability losses through application of reliability technology and by leading a global network of reliability engineers. • Responsible for using the full breadth of reliability work processes, best practice tools, and resources to improve long term cost of ownership and achieve reliability growth. • Maintained the accuracy of the global business turnaround database. • Provided input to the annual maintenance and turnaround budget targets. • Participated in the business pre-audits for turnarounds exceeding $1 MM and smaller turnarounds with new turnaround managers. • Reviewied and approved the turnaround job inventory list, turnaround safety plan, and turnaround quality plans prior to the scope freeze date. • Resolved turnaround cost issues to meet the annual budgets.
