Based in Prague, living here and there:) I’m Michaela Kloudová, CEO at INCIEN and a former VC-backed founder. Circularity for me is a business discipline grounded in decisions, trade-offs, and execution. I work with companies and institutions to translate circular ambitions into practice by defining what must change in products and systems and how to communicate it without reputational risk. Before INCIEN, I built and scaled a VC-backed startup, Genster, to around €1M in annual turnover with 70 percent customer retention and a 35-person team. COVID shut the company down and became my most demanding leadership lesson. I live part of the year outside Europe, working in environments where systems and resource constraints are visible in everyday operations. That experience strongly shapes how I approach circularity, risk, and decision-making. Genster was the first online styling service for men in the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, Covid hit and we were not able to save Genster for various reasons. Company deals with financial and legal services which helps people in financial problems due to unlawful executions (distrains) and overdue alimony. 1. Alimenty dětem (www.AlimentyDetem.cz) Brand new, risk-free and the most effective way of collecting overdue alimony in the Czech market which combines services of attorneys at law and judicial debt collectors (executors). We support and encourage single and divorced parents and their children to fight for their rights. Our aim is to create simple and relevant information base of family law which has been almost non-existent in the Czech market. Thereby we want to show single parents and general public that we already have the legal tools for collecting overdue alimony for children. Apart from collecting overdue alimony we also work on improving the whole system. Therefore, we are in close contact with politicians who we provide with our professional comments on various matter in this field with the focus on practical application. We also cooperate with media, corporations, non-profit organisations and e-commerce platforms. 2. Exekutor má smůlu (www.ExekutorMaSmulu.cz) Objective: Suspensions of unlawful executions (distrains) Using a ruling of the Supreme Court we discovered a market gap which counted for more than 200,000 unlawful executions (distrains). To date we suspended executions for nearly 100, 000, 000 CZK.
I was responsible for all aspects of Media management, particularly focused on media planning and implementation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for every actively communicated brand (Food, Ice cream and Home and Personal care) in order to enable execution of the brand strategy. I managed media agency partners in both countries to provide outstanding planning and buying services. At the same time I was in regular contact with media suppliers. I was responsible for media negotiation deals, commitments and subsequently budget performance. I managed the Signal brand (toothpaste) in the Czech and Slovak market - no.2 brand in the oral care market in market share (source: Nielsen). Following the brand audit, I introduced simple and understandable vision and goals of the brand which had to be followed. Through measurable performance specifications (both brand and sales), I controlled the developlment and managed it accordingly. I prepared, managed and launched several novelties, among others very first toothpaste for men in the Czech and Slovak market. I was a member of the CEE community where I led several cross-market´s projects.
