About

In my laboratory at the European Synchrotron in Grenoble we film the motion of molecules during chemical and biochemical processes using ultra short pulses of X-rays. I have a masters degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Copenhagen after which I studied physics at the University of Cambridge as a PhD student. The project was done in the Cavendish Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Gilbert Lonzarich, FRS. The title of my thesis is "Fermi Surface and Magnetic Fluctuations in Praseodymium" which was accepted in 1984. I am currently emeritus scientist at the European Synchrotron in Grenoble in France where I have been working as a beamline scientist since 1990. I was appointed head of the "Complex Systems and Biomedical Sciences Group" in 2015 and kept that position until my retirement in 2022.
