I focus on filling difficult IT and digital roles – especially where search processes stall due to unclear scope, complex stakeholder setups or lack of market traction. In these situations, the problem is rarely just candidate availability. More often, roles are not clearly defined, expectations are misaligned, or the market is approached in a way that does not resonate with the right people. I work with organisations that need to fill roles at the intersection of business, technology and leadership – typically in situations where: a role has been open for months internal alignment is weak or evolving the profile is difficult to define or communicate the hire is critical for growth, transformation or stability My focus is on IT and digital leadership roles (e.g. CTO-1, VP/Director level, Product and Data leadership), as well as key positions where technical expertise alone is not sufficient. Over 18 years in recruitment, I have personally filled 200+ roles – despite leading large teams and business units. This combination of leadership experience and hands-on execution allows me to quickly identify whether the challenge lies in the market, the role itself, or the hiring setup. Today, as Managing Director at Headmatch in Hamburg, I work selectively and stay directly involved in mandates – particularly where clarity, honest market feedback and structured execution make the difference between a prolonged search and a successful hire.
