I was born in Goroka, Papua New Guinea (1968); was adopted to a Dutch father and English mother; arrived in Australia in 1974 and became a naturalised citizen of Australia; raised in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales; I attended various primary schools and attended Marist Brothers/St Marys, Lismore which renamed itself to Trinity Catholic College my last year of highschool. I moved to Sydney in 1987 to commence my working life with Australia Post; I have enjoyed three decades of work with Australia Post in a variety of roles and have witnessed the company move through rapid change and a unique industrial environment. I have played sport for as long as I can remember and particularly enjoy Basketball, Touch Football and Rugby League. I excelled in Basketball playing representatively for over two decades. I have coached junior and senior basketball for developmental and representative purposes well over three decades. My work has provided me with a broad range of skill in operational and human resource management. I work in an ever changing environment with the organisation transitioning to the digital age in particular eCommerce.
I have worked with Australia Post for over three decades in a variety of roles ranging from a Postal Delivery Officer; Postal Services Officer; Human Resources Officer; Employee Relations Manager; Network Support Manager, Delivery Manager and Operations Manager
