During my tenure at Sirtex I worked for the first 6 years within the Clinical department. My initial role being to accelerate and complete two dose escalation studies. The studies were both published in the leading oncology journal of the time. Following this my work shifted to launching two studies. The first a preliminary study in pancreatic cancer, the second a global study in metastatic colorectal cancer. For the last 6 years I worked in the Research & Development department. My work here focused on the measurement of radiation absorbed dose and the development of improved imaging agents in order to develop a treatment that was dose-related. The aim being to improve the personalised medicine approach associated with SIR-Spheres microspheres.
Research Assistant in the Storr Liver Unit, located at Westmead. The work focused no drug metabolism and liver disease.
