I am a serial entrepreneur who have founded, led, mentored and invested into numerous startups in Asia over the past 15 years. They were across industries such as automotive, oil and gas and healthcare. Simply too many to list them all and it would not do them justice for the impact it had on me personally and professionally! However one of my most memorable projects was launching Asia’s first full electric hyper-car at the Geneva Motorshow in 2017 that made everyone stand up and take notice of a small start up doing the impossible! I spent my early career in large corporates in the USA and Asia. During that time, I had achieved a strong track record of aggressive sales growth in international markets, leadership of multi function global teams, product management, strategic sourcing and cost reductions, etc. which proved invaluable. After which I decided to return to Singapore to contribute to the then early start up scene by providing valuable insights and leadership experience from my time overseas. My long involvement with startups allows me to understand the unique challenges that founders face which has led me to develop an extensive network of resources providing capability building to investment, etc. tailored for startups at the early stages of their journey. Currently I am serving in leadership and advisory roles for several start ups in the healthcare, oil and gas and water treatment industries in the USA and South East Asia as I am very passionate about mentoring the next generation of founders and supporting them in achieving the impossible dream! I was always blessed to be surrounded by visionary, talented, passionate and hardworking professionals that made this possible who have grown from strength to strength in their respective fields! And every memorable moment on our journey seem to be just like yesterday simply because of the impact it has on me. That if you ask me is the greatest achievement to date. People and family first always. So are all the start ups and companies that I was involved with a success story? No way! I have been depressed, frustrated and cried over a few of them simply because I felt that I could have done more.. 🥲 However each journey taught me important lessons which I brought over to each new start up and made sure I passed on the lessons. My failures has also shaped me to who I am now and I truly believe made me a more well rounded mentor and entrepreneur! Finally I am always ready to lend a listening ear to anyone who has an idea that they are passionate about and want to see what it can lead to!
