As a graduate from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Economics and current MSc student in Economics and Finance at Barcelona School of Economics, and I'm passionate about economic research and data science. I thrive on the challenge of independent research projects, constantly seeking out new data sets to uncover hidden insights and meaningful patterns. My research projects have spanned from health economics to consumer behavior, utilizing both R and Python in data analysis and SQL for database queries. One of my most exciting projects involved an end-to-end consumer churn predictor in R, where I employed state of the art machine learning models (XGBoost, random forests) that predicted customer repurchases with 88% accuracy, based on a messy data set of over 32 million observations. Each data set and research project I tackle presents a unique challenge, and I love the process of discovering valuable insights that can positively inform policy and decision-making. My ultimate goal is to work in economic research and further enhance my data science skills. I have a particular interest in applied microeconomics, as well as migration, networks, and game theory. Outside of my professional interests, I enjoy watching sports and playing soccer.
