Competent Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 16 years’ experience working mainly under the NEC 2 and 3 forms of contract on a variety of Rail, Utility & Nuclear projects for main Contractors. Also Client and Client facing experience. My role as Commercial Manager allows me to get involved with all aspects of the Company and keeps me in touch with the day to day activities on our construction sites. With 16 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for Main Contractors, Clients and Consultants, Hollingsworth Bros offered me the opportunity to influence the commercial aspects of a family run Civil Engineering Contractor. Position – Senior Quantity Surveyor • Managing Contractors under the ECC/NEC 3 Option A Contracts • Responsibility for multiple projects carrying out all Client QS Functions from cradle to grave • Evaluating/assessing Contractor payments • Managing internal allocation of costs using the SAP costing system • Managing budgets for the current year spends. • Forecasting spend for future years. • Putting together estimates for future projects • Preparation of Contract documentation. • Compiling and evaluating monthly project reports using Earn Value analysis.
