I work with editors and designers to create illustrations for publication. Author Jake Halpern and I co-created “Separation” and "Welcome to the New World,” both comics published by The New York Times. I was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 2018 for “Welcome to the New World,” which was published as a full-length graphic novel by Metropolitan Books, and was also published in the UK and France . I record classical, jazz, blues and rock music, and have produced over 300 music albums which are available on all major audio streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. My music transcends boundaries, cultures and genres. I am a multi-instrumentalist and play guitar, piano, bass guitar, percussion, dulcimer, lap harp and harmonica. I also make short films, such as “Mong Kok East” and “I Love Hong Kong” which are available on YouTube. I use my own music as a soundtrack to my films along with my artwork. My artwork has been exhibited internationally.
I compose and record music in several genres, playing a variety guitars, bass guitar, xylophone, keyboard, percussion, dulcimer, banjo and harmonica. I have produced over 300 albums which are available on all major audio streaming platforms, such as Spotify.
I work with clients to create original artwork for a variety of online and print media. My clients include: The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The New Yorker, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Washington Post.
