• Promote Westlaw Edge, an industry-leading legal research platform, to fellow law school students by holding tabling events, webinars, and research challenges to teach students how to use QuickCheck, Drafting Assistant, and other practical legal research tools and methods. • Hold office hours to meet students one on one to build their legal research skills for their legal analysis and writing courses, and to help students get official certifications in advanced legal research, transactional law, and litigation research.
• Draft and prepare various agreements related to business formation, financing, and operations (including joint venture agreements, operating agreements, articles of organization, private placement memorandums, subscription agreements and release agreements) • Draft and redline pre-production and post-production agreements for clients in film, television, and music (including production services agreements, attachment agreements, writer agreements, option-purchase agreements, shopping agreements, and above the line and below the line talent contracts) • Research and compose client matter letters on issues related to copyright and fair use, cease and desist letters, WGA credit obligations, production safety guidelines relating to COVID-19 • Inquire permissions and license agreements from third party entities such as CBS and Universal Music Group for appearance, footage, and music clearances in an upcoming documentary film • Redline and compose new contingent fee agreements with current ABA ethics rules for current and new clients
