Communicate with HSE Team, Managers, and Front Line Employees on a regular basis Immediately report and investigate all incidents and notify the HSE Manager Implement the processes for training, policies and standards for Orascom HO Ensure transport compliance with local, provincial and federal regulations Lead by example and follow company policies, legislated requirements, and customer requirements Perform regular inspections of job sites (leases/stations) Perform Incident Investigations and assist in development of corrective actions with management Mentor base management and field employees to help ensure all company policies, client requirements, legislation, acts & regulations as well as all industry standards & recommended practices are understood Perform hazard assessments, job task analysis, and communicate safety standards to workers at work sites to help to ensure compliance with Provincial and Federal legislation, industry standards, company policies, IRP’s, and customer requirements Provide HSE assistance and direction to Managers, Supervisors & Employees as a subject matter expert Follow up on regulatory inspections HSE, Transportation and Quality for all Provinces and jurisdictions, forward to management Perform orientations and training as directed by HSE Manager, Orascom CI Attend customer sponsored meetings as requested E.R.C. (Emergency Response Coordinator) responsibilities Extensive travel to remote locations, after hours on call and some weekend work while on - call
To conduct inspections, audits and surveillance of the implemented system and identify conformity to legal, moral and economic requirements of the safety management system. Responsible for coordination of personnel and resources in the assigned section. Responsible for reporting to the HSE Manager/Project HSE Engineer where improvements can be made as well as any discrepancies with corrective action by location supervisory and management staff. To raise safety improvement notices, defaults forms or NCRs, as dictated by their findings. Maintain the site HSE file and present it for audit upon management request (when requested). Responsible for collating daily reports, all data to contribute to weekly, monthly and yearly reports. To conduct induction training and awareness seminars for location personnel. Coordinate and communicate health and safety activities between the company and other Contractors and/or Subcontractors. Perform all activities in compliance with the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) and the assigned specific responsibilities and comply with and implement the local laws and Client requirements related to Health, Safety and Environmental aspects at the workplace as per the bestowed authority and responsibility. Any other ad hoc administrative duty as requested by the Line Manager or Management staff.
