As a leader he has a strong vision for the department and promotes the best organizational patterns and practices. He tackles high-level challenges and balances quality software with speed. He is responsible for feature deployment, stability of the business’s core platform stability, and the overall quality of the business’s software architecture. - to plan the technical development and establish the technical vision that guides all aspects of technological development. - to manage product staffing to enable the successful development of products as well as the personal development of members of the engineering team. - to take the lead with a profound understanding of new and relevant technologies when discussing the right setup for each product – coaching teams to make the best decision given the information they have. - to lead the recruiting activities of the engineering department; you will mentor key engineering personnel, continually promoting the growth of their professional skills, readying team members for career growth. - to ensure the technical operations both for our engineering teams as well as Oetker Digital in total. - to support make-or-buy decisions both on the level of individual software packages but also for entire business as part of M&A activities.
