Collaborated with Magnet Coordinator to optimize the Shared Governance model while beginning Magnet journey. •Point of contact for organizing clinical rotations within the hospital across multiple schools •Implemented a new to the organization simulation center, to be used in nursing staff onboarding and continuing skills and knowledge development •Assisted in managing all agency staff contracts, compliance, and tracking, as primary liaison between hospital and agency organizations. -Nurse Manager, Stepdown Unit/Nursing Support Teams •Oversaw daily operations of Stepdown Unit, as well as Rapid Response/Stroke Team, Nursing Supervisors, Bed Placement Coordinators, Inpatient Wound Care Nurses, and Vascular Access Team. •Assisted in transition of unit from a Clinical Decision Unit to a Stepdown Unit, including implementation of new nursing assessments and interventions, training and coaching staff on care for patients with increased acuity, and implementing new staffing model. Reduced overall unit vacancy rate to 0% based on allotted FTEs within 10 months. •Re-purposed unit’s Clinical Coordinator position and focus to increase support of bedside care, improve patient outcomes and quality metrics, increase patient experience scores, and help to improve unit throughput. •Reviewed and addressed budget, responded to budget variance reports, assisted in development of annual budget. •Awarded with 2019 Outstanding Leadership Award for Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. Received Daisy Award nomination.

RN vacancy rate reduced from 38% to 0% within 12 months. •During position, implemented initiatives impacting patient experience (targeting nurse communication), patient length of stay, employee engagement, and patient safety metrics, as well as facilitating the hospital Throughput Committee and acting as DaVita dialysis liaison.
