Managed the Data Migration work stream from start of Project through to successful Go Live. Extraction of FI/CO data from two different SAP solutions (one US and one UK), transform and then load to new SAP solution. Complex project with many challenges to manage but all have been resolved and Go Live has been very successful.
Managed the Data Migration team through the Initiation and Build phase of the SP3 TUI project - rolling out their SAP Solution to their head office in Hannover. Responsible for all aspects of Data Migration in this Greenfield Project Managed the DM team through 5 successful Go Lives – Finance (FI/CO), HR, Fixed Assets, Services Charges and final release which covered FI/CO and specific Housing Association functionality (Contracts, MM and CRM) Worked closely with Solution Partner to ensure SAP solution and DM programs were aligned. Data Team consisted of 17 to 20 resources using SAP standard functionality to load data SDS (BODS), LSMW’s and IDocs. Regular presentations to Steering Committee on progress and issues requiring Senior Management decision. Presented options for issues to assist Senior Management in their decision making. Produced and updated both detailed and summary project plans for key stakeholders Attended weekly R&I meetings and presented Risks and Issues related to DM Working closely with Solution Partner, other work-streams and Cutover Manager to ensure all plans were aligned and pinch points resolved Instrumental in formulating new approach for final release based on Lesson’s Learned from previous releases. Working closely with Henderson's SAP Business Partner (Itelligence) to implement Release 1 of Henderson's SAP solution. Offices included UK (main hub), Chicago and Singapore (hub for Asia) Achievements: Managed project team on a daily basis. Teams split by application (P2P, GL & Revenue and Planning) and comprised of key Business resources, SAP consultants and Itelligence consultants. Produced detailed Project plans using MS Project to manage teams and ensure all tasks were successfully completed - plans covered SAP, BPC and Planning Produced high level plans and presentations for Programme Board and other key stakeholders Attended bi-monthly Programme Board meetings and presented project status – ensure all key action items were completed Undertook role of Testing Manager and successfully managed SIT, UAT, OAT and DR Undertook role of Cutover Manager and ensured detailed plan was published and tracked to, all relevant communication was submitted on a timely basis and all participants were aware of their role and timelines. Undertook role of Data Migration Manager and managed 3rd Party supplier (Harlex) plus Business resources through 3 test cycles, DAL and dry run prior to Cutover Project successfully went Live on time and first month end was completed using all applications and functionality in scope ie not a soft close
Working closely with Universal’s Business Partner (Invenio) to implement Global SAP solution into various European offices. Achievements: Led deployments of global solution in several European offices including taking over a failing project and re-planning project phases to ensure original Go Live dates were achieved. Successfully managed the different teams responsible for delivering the solution to the Business Set up and managed communication lines between project stakeholders Ensured Business management fully understood benefits of the Global solution and ‘bought in’ to the concept.
