About

I currently work jointly between the School of Agriculture and Food Science & the School of Veterinary Medicine in UCD. I am involved in teaching and research activities, predominantly in the area of reproductive physiology in farm animal species. My main areas of interest are Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) and I am trained in techniques including; AI, ultrasound scanning, in-vivo embryo flushing, ovum pick-up (OPU), in-vitro embryo production (IVP) and embryo transfer. I have spent a number of years working abroad within the agricultural sector and have gained invaluable experience on large scale dairy operations in the UK and Middle East. I come from a suckler and beef farming background and I am a member of the Irish Charolais Cattle Society and the South Eastern Charolais Breeders Club. MSc.
