I worked as a lead recruitment consultant in the IT sales industry during my 3rd year of University. I gained valuable skills in Business Development, Client outreach, Lead generation, Cold/warm phone calling, Sales and Networking.
In early March 2021, I signed a temporary contract with MaplesFS to work within the FATCA team in order to assist the Process of Economic Substance Reporting. I was trained to proceed with the Economic Substance filing system, and was advised on how to cooperate with the clients in a professional and productive manner. Furthermore I was trained to work on the administrative software in which MaplesFS provides. I was later given the responsibility to assist the recently acquired temporary employees. I created an instruction handbook and presentation which was aimed at teaching them how to successfully complete the Economic Substance reporting process. I would have loved to have stayed at MaplesFS for much longer, however I decided I wanted to return to the UK to continue with the next year of my degree. I believe I developed a myriad of valuable skills and experience in my short time at MaplesFS, and I look forward to applying these skills to the workplace in the near future.
